Chapter 73 : Fearlessness in a forum

Those who are well versed with the various ways of speech, will choose the right style for a forum, and won’t blunder out of fear.	721
They are known the most learned amongst the learned, those who can express their learnings persuasively before a learned audience.	722
Simple people, ready to die at the warfront, abound; those who fearlessly address an audience are a rare breed.	723
Speak persuasively before the learned, what you have learnt, and absorb more from those who are more learned than you.	724
Choose the right works and learn, knowing the limitations, so that you can debate fearlessly with any audience.	725
What use is the sword to cowards? Of what use are books to those who fear a learned audience?	726
A sharp sword in the hands of a coward before foes, is the scholarship of him who fears a forum.	727
They may be of great learning but can serve no purpose if they shy away from speaking compellingly to a good audience.	728
Though well learned, they’re considered worse than the ignorant, those who fear an assembly of good people.	729
Out of stage-fright, those who can’t articulate their learnings well, maybe alive but are as good as lifeless.	730

பல்லவை கற்றும் பயமிலரே நல்லவையுள் நன்கு செலச்சொல்லா தவர்.	728
கல்லாத தவரிற் கடையென்ப கற்றறிந்தும் நல்லார் அவையஞ்சு வார்.	729
